I'm Ashok Baker and I'm a writer. It's what I love and I have a talent for it.
I currently write for two creative blogs, copy for various business websites, reviews and interviews for a music website. I'm also an award nominated screenwriter, and freelance script reader.
---
In Summer 2012 I set up as a self-employed copywriter, content writer, and script reader. I'm also an independent filmmaker working in anything form corporate shorts to creative features.
The ultimate goal is to write/direct for film and television.

I started out making documentary films in high school. I wrote a feature film at the age of 15.
The feature, entitled Reflections, got picked up by a small production company from Lancaster, and I directed the film when I was 16 over the course of two weeks on a budget of £20,000. The film was completed in 2008 and premiered at The Printworks Odeon, Manchester.

In June 2012 I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in Preston with a First Class Degree in BA Film and TV Screenwriting (Major) and BSc Media Production and Technology (Minor).
At University I honed my skills, particularly in writing, directing, camera operating, and editing. I have taken on various roles in many short films, music videos, corporate videos, documentaries and studio-based TV shows.
